CLYDEPORT dock workers have secured a pay package equivalent to a 9.3 per cent rise, Unite announced today.

Around 100 workers based at the King George V dock in Glasgow and Greenock Ocean terminal overwhelmingly backed the offer from the Peel Port Group, which owns Clydeport’s cranes and workshops.

It amounts to a 3 per cent increase in basic pay, two days extra holiday, bonuses worth up to £1,000 if absence and profit targets are reached and a 50p an hour wage boost for crane operators.
