Andrew Windsor gives up mansion
Andrew ‘The Duke of York’ at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, June 18, 2007

A DISGRACED Andrew Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be leaving their Royal Lodge home in exchange for two separate residences, according to reports today.

Royal sources have said the King’s brother is in talks with Charles’s representatives about leaving the property voluntarily following the furore over the “peppercorn” rent for the 30-room mansion.

It is believed that Andrew has requested the former home of Harry Windsor and Megan Markle, Frogmore Cottage, while Ms Ferguson is seeking to move into Adelaide Cottage after it is vacated by the Prince of Wales next month.

In a game of musical houses played at the taxpayers expense will see William, Kate and their children move to Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom Grade II-listed residence in Windsor Great Park.

The recent publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoirs has led to some of Andrew Windsor’s titles being given up, but he still retains his title of prince.

Despite claiming to have never met Ms Giuffre, Mr Windsor paid her an alleged £12 million settlement and has also now seemingly given up his home.
