WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Hibs still lead the Scottish Premier League by three points after they enjoyed a 3-1 win at Edinburgh neighbours Hearts, second-placed Glasgow City saw off defending champions Celtic 3-1 and Katie Wilkinson scored five as Rangers thumped Motherwell 6-0 to remain two points further back in third. Montrose edged Spartans 2-1, Aberdeen beat Partick 2-0 and bottom club Dundee United won 2-1 at Queen’s Park.

CYCLING: World Champion Remco Evenepoel won the short 17km time trial around Geneva, the final stage at the Tour of Romandie, finishing 12 seconds in front of general classification winner Joao Almeida. France’s Lenny Martinez was second overall with Jay Vine in third and last year’s winner Carlos Rodriguez back in sixth. Oscar Onley was the highest placed Briton in 16th, just over four minutes behind Almeida.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: The New Saints completed the domestic treble after goals from Rory Holden and Jordan Williams helped them come from behind to beat Connah’s Quay 2-1 in Sunday’s Welsh Cup final at Newport’s Rodney Parade. TNS squeezed past Aberystwyth 1-0 to pick up the League Cup in February and finished 14 points clear of Penybont as they romped to their 13th Cymru Premier title in the last 16 years.
