Engineering workers strike over pay

ENGINEERING workers at three factories in north-east England  supplying the defence and nuclear power industries are to strike over pay.

British Engines runs BEL Engineering in Newcastle and Rotary Power and Michell Bearings in South Shields.

The 170 workers are members of union Unite and have rejected a proposed 3 per cent pay increase.
