MEN’S FOOTBALL: Promotion play-off semi finals kick off in both the southern and northern divisions of the National League this weekend. In the north regular season runners-up Scunthorpe play Chorley on Saturday before Chester visit Kidderminster. In the south Boreham Wood travel to Torquay, who only missed automatic promotion on goal difference behind Truro, and Eastbourne Borough take on Maidstone United on Sunday.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Leinster are aiming to reach their fourth successive Champions Cup final when they face Northampton in Saturday’s last four clash in Dublin. The Irishmen have finished as runners-up in the last three years. In Sunday’s other semi final defending champions Toulouse will be without injured French international hooker Peato Mauvaka when they come up against Bordeaux-Begles in a meeting between France’s current top two teams.

DARTS: Luke Littler came from 3-1 down to beat Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in Thursday night’s final in Birmingham and claimed a record-breaking fifth Premier League win of the season. Littler now has a huge nine point lead in the table from second-placed Luke Humphries with Gerwyn Price a further four points back in third and van Gerwen, who has yet to win a round, in fourth. Next week’s 14th leg will take place in Leeds.
