Woman arrested over false social media post about Southport attacker

A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with an inaccurate social media post about the identity of the suspect in the Southport murders.

The 55-year-old from near Chester was held on suspicion of publishing written material to stir up racial hatred and false communications on Thursday.

Cheshire Police said today she was being held in police custody and assisting officers with their enquiries.
