UN general assembly adopts ‘Pact for the Future’

A “PACT for the future” has been adopted by the United Nations general assembly to meet the challenges of the 21st century. 

UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres thanked the 193-member world body for approving the 42-page agreement of 56 actions.

He said: “We are here to bring multilateralism back from the brink.
