ITALY: Rome has told Israel to respect the rights of Italians taking part in an activist flotilla that is seeking to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza, after the latest boat was attacked with incendiary devices in Tunisian waters.

GERMANY: Parliament today lifted the immunity on Maximillian Krah, a prominent far-right lawmaker with the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, after which authorities searched his home and offices following a court order.

Last year, the AfD banned Mr Krah from standing in the European Union elections after he told an Italian newspaper that not all members of the Nazi SS in World War II were war criminals.
