Train crash in Egypt kills one and injures at least 21 people

A LOCOMOTIVE crashed into the back of a Cairo-bound passenger train in southern Egypt today, killing at least one person and injuring many more. 

The collision, the second serious train crash in a month in the North African country, occurred in the province of Minya, about 168 miles south of the capital, the railway authority said in a statement, adding that  two carriages had fallen into an adjacent watercourse. 

The cause of the crash was under investigation, the statement added.
