MEN’S RUGBY UNION: South Africa scored seven tries as they cruised to a 48-7 win over Argentina that sealed their first Rugby Championship trophy in five years.

The Springboks have dominated this year’s competition and finished eight points clear of runners up New Zealand who had been chasing a fifth successive title.

The All Blacks consigned Australia to the tournament’s wooden spoon after beating them 33-13 in Wellington.
