MEN’S FOOTBALL: The New Saints are level at 0-0 before tomorrow evening’s Champions League first qualifying round second leg at North Macedonia’s Shkendija. Tonight’s winners will face either 1986 European Cup champions Steaua Bucharest or Andorra’s Inter Club D’Escaldes in the next round. Bucharest have a 3-1 lead after their first leg, the same advantage that 1979’s European Cup runners-up Malmo hold over Georgia’s Iberia 1999.

MEN’S GOLF: Chris Gotterup carded a last-round 66 to finish 15 under par and won the Scottish Open by two shots from Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge in North Berwick on Sunday evening. The 25-year-old American picked up £1.2 million in prize money as well as earning a place at next week’s Open Championship in Portrush. Defending champion Robert MacIntyre finished 17 shots off the lead in 65th place.

WOMEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Wigan ran in 13 tries as they crushed Huddersfield 76-0 on Sunday and moved back to the top of the Super League, a point clear of second-placed St Helens who needed a last-minute converted try from Caitlin Casey to squeeze past Leeds 22-20. York Valkyrie are two points further back in third after seeing of Leigh 28-4 and Barrow thumped winless Warrington 52-10 in a clash between the bottom two.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Not to be outdone by the Champions League, the second round of Scottish League Cup group matches kick off tomorrow evening. Brechin from the Highland League will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 7-0 thrashing by newly promoted Premiership club Falkirk when they take on Queen’s Park while Scottish League new boys East Kilbride are at Raith Rovers after losing 3-1 to St Johnstone in their opening game.
