CYCLING: Slovenia’s World champion Tadej Pogacar attacked on the final ascent of the Oude Kwaremont to win Sunday’s Tour of Flanders one-day race by just over a minute from second-placed Mads Pedersen, with Mathieu van der Poel in third.

Belgium’s Lotte Kopecky sprinted clear of Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, Liane Lippert and Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney to become the first woman to win three Flanders titles.

MEN’S CURLING: After wins over defending champions Sweden 8-7 in the quarter finals and hosts Canada 7-4 in the last four, Olympic silver medallists Scotland edged out Switzerland 5-4 in this morning’s World Championships final in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
