Miguel Almiron not worried about price tag as he looks to settle in Newcastle

NEWCASTLE United new boy Miguel Almiron admits he is honoured to become a club’s record signing, but says he is focused on making a positive impact and doesn’t see himself as a hero.

Almiron, 24, moves to Tyneside from MLS side Atlanta United for £21 million on deadline day, a deal which eclipses the £16.5m paid for Michael Owen all the way back in 2005.

The Magpies had been under growing pressure to break the bank as they continue to battle relegation this season.
