Merseyrail cleaners secure pay victory
Merseyrail trains lined up on the track at Kirkdale Depot
OUTSOURCED Merseyrail cleaners voted to accept a new pay offer today, bringing a successful end to their dispute.
Cleaners employed by private firm Churchill secured a 6 per cent pay rise backdated to April 2023 and a further 5 per cent from April 2024, their union RMT announced.
Workers will also get improved sick pay and an uplift to a £15 minimum hourly rate from April 2025.
