Five nations bidding to host Euro 2029
England's Ellen White with the trophy following victory over Germany in the Uefa Women's Euro 2022 final at Wembley Stadium, London, July 31, 2022

FIVE bids have been submitted to host the 2029 Women’s European Championship finals.

European football’s governing body Uefa confirmed declarations of interest had been received from Germany, Italy, Poland and Portugal in hosting the event, along with a joint bid from Denmark and Sweden.

Next year’s finals are set to be hosted in Switzerland, with England winning the last tournament on home soil in 2022, which was delayed by a year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
