Edinburgh Tram workers win right to break following strike threat

TRAM drivers in Edinburgh have won the right to park up for a pee — but had to threaten strike action to get it.

Unite represents drivers, ticket service assistants, controllers and vehicle maintenance workers on the Edinburgh Trams network.

The union said staff shortages and running times on late night services serving the city’s airport meant that drivers were unable to take a break.
