FORMER Welsh Labour MP Beth Winter and ex-Public and Commercial Services union general secretary Mark Serwotka today shared their backing for Your Party.

More than 23,000 people in Wales have signed up to the project to form a new left party co-led by former Labour MPs Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, they said in a statement.

“It is clear that there is an appetite for change in every nation and region across the UK and the numbers who have signed up to build a real alternative to poverty, inequality and war are staggering — a real ‘wow factor’.”

The pair vowed to work with communities across Wales including trade unions, social movements, campaigns to “ensure that the party belongs to you.

“Over the coming weeks they will be looking to hear your voice about how your party should work in our country.”

They urged supporters to spread the word, sign up and donate to the party “and help build a real alternative based on equality, democracy and peace.”
