THREE more people have been charged with violent disorder after protests in Southampton following the murder of Henry Nowak.

Connor Bishop, 24, Reece Robinson, 21, and Noah Etherington, 18, appeared in court today.

The charges follow violent protests after Vickrum Digwa, 23, was sentenced to life for murdering the 18-year-old.

Police body-worn video released this week showed Mr Nowak being handcuffed moments before he died, with Mr Digwa claiming he was a victim of a racist attack, leading to protests.

On Thursday, Daniel Frost, 44, pleaded guilty to violent disorder while Matt Styler, 50, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a police officer.

Meanwhile, Downing Street rejected a US State Department suggestion of “two-tier policing” in Britain.

The department had posted that such policing is a “symptom of civilisational decline.”

A Downing Street spokeswoman said the Prime Minister recognised “huge public concern” but rejected any US inference.

Mr Digwa was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years for stabbing Mr Nowak with a ceremonial knife.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct is investigating.
