LATEST polling has put Plaid Cymru and Reform UK dead even for Senedd victory in the final days before voters in Wales head to the ballot.
The More in Common survey suggests the two parties are set to each win 34 seats in Thursday’s vote, short of the 49 needed for a majority.
Plaid Cymru and Reform have consistently topped opinion polls in Wales over recent months, pushing Labour, which has led the country for more than two decades, into third place.
The fierce contest has seen much discussion of “red lines” between smaller centre-left parties to combine to stop Reform forming a government.
Wales Green Party leader Anthony Slaughter has said his party would work with others to stop Reform.
Reform UK Wales leader Dan Thomas said if that were to happen it would be “an Establishment stitch-up.”
But Mr Slaughter pointed out that it would be the democratic will if “more people had voted for someone other than Reform.”
