Peters hails Mikey Lewis return to form in rout of Bradford
Hull KR's Mikey Lewis prepares to kick during the Betfred Super League match at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium, Kingston upon Hull, March 27, 2026

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS head coach Willie Peters believes that Mikey Lewis has “found his feet in 2026” as Hull KR’s star man scored four tries in their 48-12 win at Bradford.

Lewis crossed twice in each half to help the defending Super League champions move into the play-off places for the first time this season after they brushed aside the Bulls at Odsal.

“He was outstanding,” Peters said. “He was the major difference, that’s for sure. He has certainly found his feet in 2026 now and I think he’s on top of his game.

“The key for him is just being in the game. It doesn’t matter if he’s not making a line break or scoring tries, eventually something will happen.”

St Helens boss Paul Rowley was relieved his side held on to claim an 18-16 win over Wakefield.

Saints were 16-0 up after half an hour but had to withstand a Wakefield fightback in the second half.

“I’ll be honest, I didn’t enjoy that one,” Rowley told reporters before adding with a wry smile: “I think that’s exactly why I’m going grey.

“We had to hold on if I’m being honest. But we got the result, we conceded only 12 points and that’s a good result in itself.”

Wakefield coach Daryl Powell said: “We flipped the game in the second half. I reckon Saints know they’ve been in a game and we could have easily won that.”
