BRITAIN’S role in the attack on Iran by the US and Israel was condemned today by Your Party’s central executive.

The party issued a statement which said the use of British military facilities, resources and intelligence makes the country party to an illegal war over which it has no control.

It said: “Britain should instead call for an immediate halt to the attacks on Iran and Lebanon, and suspend all arms sales, supplies and military co-operation with the aggressor states.” It also called for sanctions on Iran to be lifted.

“The government must halt the use of British military bases to attack Iran in this catastrophic war,” the statement demanded.

“What has taken place is an illegal and reckless military intervention by the US and its closest allies in an oil-rich country, for which there is no justification and which has already spread to more than a dozen countries in the Middle East.”
