MEN’S BASKETBALL: The EuroCup play-offs begin tonight with 2023’s runners-up Turk Telecom taking on Catalonia’s Manresa in Ankara. Montenegrin champions Boducnost Podgorica are up against Romania’s Cluj Napoca, Olimpija Ljubljana meet Chemnitz and Venice put their superb home record on the line against the Trentino Dolomites in an all-Italian affair. None of the teams in the play-offs have previously won the trophy. 

MEN’S CYCLING: Italy’s Filippo Ganna won the Tirreno-Adriatico’s opening time trial on Monday as the Ineos Grenadiers team took three of the first four places. British time trial champion Ethan Hayter finished eighth, riding for Soudal-Quick Step, 32 seconds behind Ganna, but was fined and deducted 25 ranking points for “inappropriate behaviour” after giving a middle finger to one of the television camera motorbikes.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: It’s second against third in the Highland League tomorrow evening when Brechin visit Grant Street Park to take on Clachnacuddin. The Inverness-based club are the record-holding 18-time league winners but haven’t picked up the trophy since 2004. Tonight’s other fixtures see second bottom Lossiemouth at Formartine, Strathspey against Buckie, Turriff facing Banks O’Dee and Keith versus the Inverurie Locos.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer as defending NBA champions Oklahoma City extended their lead at the top of the league with a narrow 126-123 win over Denver on Tuesday morning. Cleveland beat Philadelphia 115-101 to boost their play-off hopes, Memphis Grizzlies lost out 115-126 at Brooklyn Nets, Utah held off Golden State 119-116 and the LA Clippers saw off the New York Knicks 126-118.
