Gavin Williamson gets live interview terminated after snaking around question
Defence secretary Gavin Williamson

DEFENCE secretary Gavin Williamson had a live TV interview “terminated” today for repeatedly failing to answer a question about whether he regretted telling Russia to “shut up and go away.”

Richard Madeley, who was standing in for Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, asked Mr Williamson to answer for his “Trump-esque language” in the wake of the Skripals being poisoned with Novichok in Salisbury.

Mr Williamson was on the morning show to discuss the deployment of British troops to Malawi to train soldiers in anti-poaching techniques, before discussions turned to Russia.
