IRELAND: Shamrock Rovers top the League of Ireland after they saw off St Patrick’s 1-0 and second-placed Bohemians, who have a game in hand on the leaders, remained unbeaten with a 1-1 draw against Derry. Champions Dundalk are also yet to lose and comfortably eased past Waterford 4-0.

Cork came from behind twice to win 4-3 at Finn Harps thanks to two cracking strikes from Gearoid Morrissey and Sligo edged out bottom club UCD 1-0.

NORTHERN IRELAND: Linfield’s 10-match winning run was ended by a 2-0 defeat in Glenavon and their lead in the Irish Premiership was reduced to six points after Andy McGrory’s hat-trick helped Ballymena, who have a game in hand, thump 10-man Coleraine 4-0.
