MLB looks right at home in the London Stadium

THE London Stadium was home to Major League Baseball over the weekend and did not look out of place, as fans of the sport were treated to large-scoring games.

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox played a slug-fest on Saturday, with the Yankees coming out on top 17-13.

Built as an athletics stadium but now used as a football ground for Premier League outfit West Ham, the running track surrounds the pitch, the diamond field looked marvellous in the London sun and once again raised questions as to why the sport of football is played in a venue not fit for purpose.
