Tories' ‘Sesame Street’ NHS plan won't deal with service’s workforce crisis, campaigners say
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Secretary Therese Coffey leaving 10 Downing Street, London

New Health Secretary Therese Coffey told the Commons that the scale of the challenge facing the health service “necessitates a national endeavour.”

She said the government expected waiting times to rise before they get better following the pandemic, but that patients will be able to get a GP appointment within two weeks – and that she was planning to help clinicians to return to the profession.
