It’s workers who create wealth – not billionaires
Our economy operates in the interests of those who own and manage the wealth which workers create. The current strike wave is seeking to redress the balance, says JON TRICKETT MP

WORKERS’ pay has become a political issue once more. And the Tories and echo chambers in the media — both tabloid and should-know-better — are reverting to type.

They cannot see a strike, no matter how well-justified, without dipping their pens in vitriol and, in the case of Conservative ministers, seeking to rewrite the rule-book to help keep workers poor.

There is a story being told by the government that inflation is being stoked by pay rises led by unreasonable trade unions.
