Scottish rural community housing trusts set to receive to £960,000 funding boost

SCOTTISH rural community housing trusts are set to receive a funding boost of up to £960,000, it has been announced.

The Nationwide Trust – an independent charity supported by the Nationwide Building Society – has joined forces with the Scottish government to provide the extra cash for affordable homes and facilities in remote and rural areas over the next three years.

Scottish Greens rural affairs spokeswoman Ariane Burgess MSP welcomed the certainty that the funding would provide in coming years.
