Purps fight back to secure draw against Leek Town

City of Liverpool 2-2 Leek Town
by Michael Meadows
at the Berry Street Garage Stadium

CITY OF LIVERPOOL fought back from two down to draw against Leek Town at the Berry Street Garage Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Louis Keenan’s well-placed free kick put the visitors ahead against the run of play after promising start from the Purps saw Quarless and Mitchley go close.

The visitors then went two up after a mistake at the back saw the lively Aaron Opoku race clear before slotting a composed finish beyond the excellent Calvin Hare.
