Esperanto Poem
by Andy Jackson

konferis, kiel minareto kaj fumtubo
interplektigis kaj atingis gis la malplena cielo.

Kiam gi estis konstruita, li large jetis la pordojn,
sendis invitojn al ambasadoroj kaj regoj,
kaj atendis, ke ili ciuj venos. Kaj atendis
por ke ili ciuj venos. Por ke ili ciuj venos.

A man built a house from a stack of bricks,
one from every dwelling he had ever lived in,
made from mud and ash and clay, levered
out from mansion and stupa and hacienda.

Builders came from far and wide to marvel
at the concept, how the brutalist and gothic
conferred, how minaret and smokestack
intertwined and reached up to the empty sky.

When it was built he threw wide the doors,
sent invitations to ambassadors and kings,
and waited for them all to come. And waited
for them all to come. For them all to come.
