Princes Food bosses call for talks following week of strike action

PRINCES Food bosses have asked Unite for talks following a week of strike action at five British factories, the union said today.

Workers at the factories in Bradford, Wisbech, Glasgow, Cardiff and Long Sutton reached agreement on a pay increase worth 5-7 per cent with Princes Food owners Mitsubishi last year.

But in August, Mitsubishi sold the firm to Italian conglomerate Newlat S.p.A.
