Capita workers begin week-long strike over pay
Capita workers on strike in Manchester

WORKERS at outsourcing firm Capita in Manchester and Glasgow began a week-long strike today over pay.

Their union Unite said the company had postponed wage negotiation due in April last year while promising a pay rise in October, which did not materialise.

About 1,000 workers are believed to be involved.
