Loch Lomond resort developers accused of ‘disinformation’ in planning appeal

DEVELOPERS behind twice-rejected plans for a theme park on Loch Lomond’s banks stand accused of distortion and disinformation to win favour with ministers.

Proposals for a Flamingo Land resort prompted a record 155,000 individual objections as well as opposition from the Woodland Trust, Ramblers Scotland, the National Trust for Scotland and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

They were also unanimously rejected by the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park authority board in December.
