WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Mexico will meet Canada in the final of the Pinatar Cup after they saw off China 2-0 and Mimi Alidou bagged a hat-trick as the Canadians crushed Chinese Taipei 7-0.
Taipei have not picked up a point nor scored a goal in any of their three matches at the tournament in south-eastern Spain.
Canada are currently ranked as the world’s sixth best team, 25 places above Mexico.
