Senedd candidate nominations close
A view of the Senedd

SENEDD candidate nominations closed today for the election on May 7 when voters will go to the polls under a new proportional representation system.

The Welsh Parliament has been expanded to 96 Senedd members spread across 16 super constituencies.

Across Wales, returning officers will publish their Statement of Parties and Persons Nominated on council websites.

Once final files have been received from the returning officers, vote.wales will publish information on all parties and candidates standing at the election tomorrow.

Voters can use their postcode to search for the parties and candidates in their constituency on vote.wales, and can browse by all constituencies to find candidates across Wales.

Vote.wales is the authoritative source on Wales-wide candidate information at the Senedd election.

On April 16, vote.wales will start publishing candidates’ freepost election leaflets (also known as election addresses), allowing voters to find out what their candidates stand for, as well as who is standing.
