Scottish government faces calls to cut funding for arms firms

THE Scottish government’s grant funding of companies arming Israel’s war machine is “morally incoherent,” Oxfam charged today.

The remarks came ahead of a Holyrood vote brought forward by Green Party co-leader Lorna Slater, who has called for a halt of funding to companies arming the Israeli military.

The Green Party argues that more than £1 million has been handed over by Scottish Enterprise since the invasion of Gaza.
