A NUMBER of Celtic supporters staged a sit-in protest on Sunday over the possible appointment of Bernard Higgins.

A section of fans refused to leave Celtic park after a match where the Hoops beat Aberdeen 2-1.

The controversial former Police Scotland assistant chief constable has been rumoured to be joining the Celtic board in a security role, and fans have expressed their disapproval in a letter to to the club’s acting CEO Michael Nicholson.
