Heavy snow causes significant travel disruption

HEAVY snow has created significant travel disruption across Britain as the cold start to 2025 continues.

Stranded vehicles and collisions have left key roads in northern England closed while rail services have been cancelled and two amber weather warnings put in place.

Several major airports were closed and some have since reopened, but passengers have been warned to expect delays due to conditions.
