Exhausted educator ROBERT POOLE asks, does this government value education?

THE National Education Union (NEU) has launched a new campaign — Value Education, Value Educators.

Starting by focusing on workload caused by Ofsted and accountability, it is timely as the recent government Spending Review has made it clear that education is not something it values.

While we live in a time of rising bills and stagnant wages, the government has, in real terms, kept core spending per pupil at the same level as it was 15 years ago in the wake of the global financial crisis.
