The Westminster government’s decision to invoke Section 35 over the gender recognition reform Bill on trans rights is a cynical attack on the principle of devolution, argues MERCEDES VILLALBA MSP
AS socialists, whose side are we on? Are we on the side of Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party, which is attacking trans rights and undermining devolution?
Or are we on the side of trade unionists, feminists, civil society and human rights organisations standing up for trans rights and defending democracy?
The answer should be obvious.
