GATWICK airport faces holiday disruption with operations workers set to strike, Unite said today.

More than 100 Red Handling staff, including baggage handlers and flight dispatchers, will take industrial action across the bank holiday weekend over several issues, including pensions not being paid.

The union warned the action would see flight delays, cancellations, long queues at check-in and baggage delays.
