China qualify for wheelchair mixed doubles semi-final

CHINA continued its winning streak at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games at the weekend, remaining undefeated in wheelchair curling. 

The wheelchair mixed doubles competition resumed Saturday afternoon when China became the first team to secure a semi-final place after a 12-2 win over Estonia to remain undefeated on five wins.

Afterwards, Team China’s Wang Meng said: “I’m very happy that we secured a spot in the semi-final! Today we played better than Estonia.”

This was Estonia’s third loss of the competition and they are now in tied fourth place with two wins and three losses.

Meanwhile, Republic of Korea recorded their third win of the week when they beat United States of America 10-1 in just six ends and GB defeated Japan 11-2 for their third win to put themselves in a good position to progress.
