THE latest release in Neil Young’s Official Bootleg Series documents one of the lesser known moments of his career.
In summer 1977 the Canadian-American singer-songwriter teamed up with Moby Grape bassist Bob Mosley, guitarist Jeff Blackburn and Johnny Craviotto on drums to form the bar band The Ducks. They played just 22 shows before breaking up. Under contract to only tour with Crazy Horse, the gigs were therefore limited to the Santa Cruz city limits, apparently.
